INdependent: A Style Event
The University of Washington will be hosting INdependent: A Style Event to introduce the exciting world of fashion to students and community members. The event will be held on Thursday, May 28 in the Quad at the University of Washington from 2-3pm.Attendees will be provided entertaining instruction on how to select one's attire for various formal occasions. Deonte Randolph of Feed Da Game will be speaking about his experience with Ashoka's Youth Venture, as well as his new clothing line which benefits homeless youth. Jonathan Mustich, founder of Evolution of Style, will give a presentation on dressing appropriately and stylishly for interview and career-oriented situations. A live runway show will follow, featuring pieces from the exquisite collections of Luly Yang Couture. Additional speakers and events may accompany these and will be discussed in further detail in the coming weeks as preparation and planning develops!
During INdependent, the importance of entrepreneurship will also be highlighted. The majority of this information will be passed on to students through various articles and interviews in the event brochure.
In addition, INdependent will serve as a fundraiser for two social entrepreneurship charities: Ashoka's Youth Venture and Resolution Project. Voluntary donations will be collected to benefit the non-profits, in addition to funds raised by seating sales. Since INdependent will be a public event, anyone who wishes to watch while standing will be strongly encouraged to do so, free-of-charge.

Student Seating: $20
General Seating: $35
VIP/ Preferred Seating: $60
